Women no longer barred from bartending

December 7th, 2007 · No Comments

In August I had posted on the Delhi government wanting to prohibit female bartenders and now the verdict is in and the gov is out. But ew, I thought this cheesy language was just coming from the journalist and it turns out the judge himself said:

The High Court had said, “Female touch lends grace and elegance to the hospitality industry.”

So forget the argument along the lines of discrimination, folks. Turns out gender stereotypes are backing the decision.
