Confidom – Passion rings for women is an ode to the newer generation, smart and confident Indian women.Â
NACO (National Aids Control Organisation) and the Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT) are beginning to push the female condom, aptly named “Confidom passion rings”. It has been tested among sex workers for its acceptability and ease of use. While it’s unfortunate that many men still refuse to wear a condom, there is little resistance against women wearing one and it should be a huge help in AIDS prevention.
