A pair of articles in the Times of India highlights findings which are either highly disturbing or completely normal, depending how you look at them: ‘Many women justify wife beating‘ and ‘In most states, women don’t even feel victimised‘. Gender discrimination is so ingrained and natural that it desensitises us from even thinking that physical abuse is wrong.
