In Mumbai, two women were molested by a mob of men. While highly publicised, the police were reluctant to take any action, claiming it was just a small, normal thing. But intense pressure, including from the state government, who ordered a special fast track court for the case and stern action against those arrested to serve as a deterrent, has sped things along.
