Lawyer shares about life pre-/post-Isha

March 15th, 2010 · No Comments

Nashville-based attorney Natasha Blackshear talks about her experience with Isha Yoga:

I cannot overstate how big of an impact the practice of yoga as taught by the Isha Foundation has on my life. Of all the things I’ve ever done, practicing Isha Yoga, which I started in August 2007, has had the greatest impact on me. I literally see my life as pre-Isha Yoga and post-Isha Yoga.

How has her life been transformed?

While before I started practicing Isha Yoga, I often experienced negative emotions, after I started the practice, I realized that I could be joyful no matter what the external circumstances. I learned to experience non-causal joy, a blissfulness that has no relation to the outside world. Also, by practicing Isha Yoga, I have come to know much more about myself and to be more loving to all people with whom I come into contact.

I have experienced that — like brushing one’s teeth — the daily practice of yoga is necessary to maintain the benefits. As a result, I am greatly motivated to practice Isha Yoga every day. I practice it daily at home and highly recommend it to everyone.
