Click here for a review of Anita Nair’s not-so-recent novel, dubbed as “what must be one of the most important feminist novels to come out of South Asia,†by The Telegraph, UK. I loved it, maybe you will too!
As the title of the novel indicates the plot is in a Ladies Coupe where five women, who meet for the first time in their lives share their life’s experiences. Even though they differ in age, educational backgrounds and cultural upbringing the stories have a common thread- an Indian woman’s life is dominated by a man in one way or another.
When I re-read this book, I’ll be posting my own review…
