Two women Air Force officers in court have lost their case on discrimination in the granting of extensions. The IAF claims it just wants to keep its members young. But their lawyer wonders:

“How is the force (IAF) going to function under the Supreme Commander (President of the country), who herself is a woman?”, the counsel asked.

Alleging gender bias against women, Prasad said that IAF’s policy framed in 2006 is “discriminatory and tilted in favour of male SSC officers”.
