Undercover operation spurs violence

Protesters take matters into their own hands after a female teacher is portrayed in a TV programme to have forced girls from poor families into prosititution and porn films. The teacher has been arrested and suspended from teaching.

Air Force in court over gender bias

Two female Indian Air officers have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, demanding a uniform policy for men and women to do away with discrimination that limits women’s duty to 15 years and exempts them from pension.

Even Karnataka, who has a reputation for being progressive in these issues, is cutting back on sex ed.
